Apply to join

Reading is open to everyone. Posting is for approved members.
How membership works. You're free to browse the whole site. To post, tell us a little about yourself and your intentions. Every application gets a first check by a human, and accounts are activated only after approval — this keeps the space cooperative, inclusive, and free of bad-faith actors. We'll email you once your application has been reviewed.
Your account is created now but stays inactive until an admin approves you.
A few honest sentences. This is what we review.

Application received

Thank you. A human will review your note and intentions, and you'll hear from us by email once your account is approved. Until then, feel free to keep reading.

A feed for ideas, built for the commons.

Instagramsci is a visual social network for a different economy — cooperative, decentralized, inclusive. We borrow what social media does well (images that travel) and reject what it does badly (outrage, vanity, extraction).

Named for Antonio Gramsci, it treats culture as terrain. Every post pairs an image with an aphorism: a sharp, shareable idea worth carrying into the world.

Reading is open to all. Posting is for approved members, because a commons is built on trust — we read every application before activating an account.

Ideas over influencers. The aphorism is the unit of value. Follower counts stay quiet.
Inclusive by default. Alt text is required. Accessibility is not optional.
Decentralization as ethos. Today the theme; tomorrow the infrastructure (Cubbit/IPFS, the Fediverse).
Community over algorithm. Chronological and curated feeds, not opaque ranking.
